Saul Bass should have gotten an academy award for his end credits. Even now 50 years after I first saw the film as a nine year old, the end credits instrumental conjures up the whole film for me. I can’t wait to see the remastered film at Chicago’s Symphony Center later this year…

@loveaodai100 I couldn`t have said it any better. One of the few films, even after many viewings can leave me in a state of physical and emotional peace.

As far as I’m concerned,Bass outdid himself with this—it’s like walking through some variation of a graveyard.

First time I watched the film I sat in my chair for 10 minutes unable to move after the ending credits were shown. The film was the work of genius from beginning to end. literally… to the END…

it mentioned Bernstein and Sondheim twice each, but not once did it acknowledge the actual singers that were dubbed in.

Don’t know why you posted the credits but it sure saved my life when I was doing a WSS assignment.

Love the orchestral score and ending credits to this movie, in many ways, more than the actual movie. The last 30 seconds are especially heart wrenching to hear…

Loved this movie…. and what great ending credits with all the songs summed up in a single continuous piece! A great finish to a masterpiece…
